ETP2

Since August 2015 the practice has beeing using an electronic prescribing service called ETP2.

This avoids the need to generate the green prescription pages called FP10 and sends an electronic version of the prescription to your designated community pharmacist.  When you see your doctor we will record your designated pharmacist on your medical record. If you do not wish to designate on pharacist we can still print you a paper copy of the prescription for you to take to the phamacist yourself.

Please disscuss with your designated pharmacist how to order electronic repeat prescriptions from the surgery.

Please allow 48 working hours to order it electronically, just as previously. You can also request on-line access to order your repeat prescriptions yourself and designate a pharmacist to which we will send it.

All other requests need to be made in writing or by using our Online Form

We are unable to take prescription requests over the phone except for known housebound patients.

If you have been given the repeat form on the right hand side of your prescription where at all possible but if you have lost this you can also use the slips at reception or fax or email us or use the online prescription service through this website.

All prescriptions take 48 working hours to be processed and are ready after 3pm on the second working day. We are happy to leave your prescription for one of our local chemists to collect from us on your behalf but suggest that you arrange this with them first to see when they are due to collect from us as this may increase the time until you receive your prescription. All pharmacy collection services are offered by the pharmacy involved. Please note we DO NOT routinely fax prescriptions.

If you wish to use a chemist not local to us please note that a SAE will need to be provided with the prescription request and please factor in the increased time of postage in to how soon you will receive your prescription.

If we are unable to provide a prescription for what ever reason we will try to contact you before the 48 hours have elapsed.
